Fighting White Supremacy: from Charlottesville to Capitol Hill

Three and a half years ago, neo-Nazis and white supremacists descended on Charlottesville for a weekend of meticulously planned violence—killing Heather Heyer and injuring countless others.

This year, with far-right extremists even more emboldened by years of disinformation, conspiracies, and hate, we witnessed an unprecedented attack on the U.S. Capitol by violent insurrectionists. This attack was part of a broader cycle of white supremacist violence and a rising tide of far-right extremism in America.
